Welcome to Northumberland's New disabledGo Access Guide
We have worked in partnership with disabledGo and local
disability organisations to produce an online access guide to 1,000
places in Northumberland.
This aims to provide disabled people and their families with the
information they need on whether places are accessible for their
individual needs.
The guide will make it easier to find information on places to
visit and Council buildings and will enable more disabled people to
participate in local activities.
The guide also aims to promote awareness of the needs of
disabled people and encourages organisations to become more
inclusive by improving access to their buildings and services.
How to use the online guide?
DisabledGo can be searched in 2 ways, using the Quick
Search or by selecting one of the buttons on the homepage e.g.
Places to Go or Education.
The steps to follow for Quick Search are:
- Step 1 Type what kind of service you are
looking for in ‘I am trying to find...’
- Step 2 Select the radius of your search.
- Step 3 Type in your full postcode or the name
of a major town or city (the search works using a Royal Mail
database).
- Step 4 Click Search.
