Referendum on the voting system for the UK Parliament

When is the referendum?

The UK Parliament has now passed the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies (PVSC) Act which provides for a referendum to be held on the voting system for UK Parliamentary elections on 5 May 2011.

How do I register to vote at the Referendum?

You can find more information about registering to vote here. In order to vote at this referendum you need to register to vote by 14 April 2011.

 

Can I vote by post at this referendum?

You can find more information about voting by post here. In order to vote by post at this referendum you must register for a postal vote by 14th April 2011.

 

Can I have a proxy vote at this referendum?

You can find more information about proxy voting here. You must register for a proxy vote, except in cases of medical emergency supported by appropriate evidence, by 21st April.
