Send Your School to the Top of Everest ~ The Patch Expedition
(15 June 2010)
In Spring 2011, The Patch Expedition is climbing to the summit
of Mount Everest in aid of the global children's charity
UNICEF. However, this is no ordinary Everest expedition as
they intend to take 50,000 people from around the globe
with them to the top of the world! Please click
here to find out further information regarding The Patch
Expedition.
Their plan is to create one giant flag made up of 50,000 individual
patches. On these patches will be printed the photographs of
everyone that has sponsored The Patch Expedition and who have come
together to make a difference to the lives of some of the poorest
and most neglected children in the world. Please click

Earth Day (April 2010) ~ Join This Global Celebration
A Global Day of Action will take place on 22
April 2010 when the World will celebrate the 40th anniversary of
Earth Day.
Earth Day Founder Gaylord Nelson passed away
July 2005 at the age of 89. He believed strongly that education is
the key to changing people's attitudes about the environment and he
devoted much of his energy to that challenge. No one good website for
information, but try this US site for curriculum ideas.
