ExpertRider is a motorcycle rider development day that is designed to enhance your riding skills to make you quicker, smoother, more confident and in perfect control.

Whether you are returning to riding, lack confidence, have upgraded to a larger bike or just want to polish your road riding skills, our team of highly qualified police trained instructors will assist you to enhance elements of your riding so that you achieve real results.

It’s also the perfect excuse to go for a day’s ride on your bike alongside a highly experienced rider on some of the best biking and most scenic roads in the North East.

From the feedback we’ve been getting, riders are telling us that a day out with one of the ExpertRider team is great fun and the perfect way to improve their performance and increase safety margins.

If you want to see the road ahead from a new perspective, let us share our knowledge, skills and secrets of performance riding to help you get more out of your bike.

A day’s session with one of the ExpertRider team involves over 100 miles of roadwork featuring a range of riding environments. It will help you to develop a riding style that offers the best opportunities to make progress by:

• Reading the road

• Planning ahead for hazards and junctions

• Increasing vision through correct road positioning

• Correct use of brakes, gears and throttle

• Correct techniques for cornering

• Safe overtaking other road users

ExpertRider is flexible. It is designed around your needs and available for all types of rider, no matter what type of bike you ride or your experience. You can train together with a friend, or on your own with one-to-one coaching.

All we ask is that you come with an open mind to enhance your skills and have a full licence, valid insurance and MOT.

How Do I Book?

ExpertRider is a full day’s on-road session with a police trained motorcyclist and is tailored to meet your individual needs whatever your standard or experience. There are two options for you to consider:

With a Friend

This training will be on the basis of two riders, who know each other, and want to train together with one instructor (2:1). The cost for an ExpertRider Train Together Day is £75 per rider.

On Your Own

This training will be on the basis of one rider being coached on an individual basis with their own instructor (1:1). The cost for an ExpertRider Day is £150.

• Write a cheque for the correct amount made payable to 'Northumberland County Council'
• Post the form and cheque to the address below

You will then be contacted by a member of the ExpertRider team to confirm a suitable date and sent joining instructions.
