School closures, weather alerts and distruptions to council services are listed below.
Library Alert : No access to the Library and eBook catalogue from Saturday 26th April - Sunday 27th April
Effective: 26 Apr 2014 to 27 Apr 2014
The library catalogue server is being upgraded from 2pm on Saturday 26th April until 10am on Sunday 27th April. There will be no access to the library catalogue or eBooks catalogue during this time.
School Transport Alert : East Coast Rail Season Tickets- Berwick to Newcastle Summer Term
Effective: 16 Apr 2014 to 23 Apr 2014
The East Coast Rail season tickets are ready for collection for eligible students at Berwick Rail Station.
For existing photocard holders you must take along your current photocard for renewal of your Season Ticket.
For students who have been accepted for free travel for the final term only please ensure you have a passport photo and photo ID.
Passes can be collected now but are not valid for travel until 22nd April.
ALL SEASON TICKETS MUST BE COLLECTED FROM THE TRAVEL CENTRE AT BERWICK RAIL STATION.
Proposals for Guide Post schools move to next phase

Statutory Proposals for the proposed closure of Guide Post Middle School and the extension of the age ranges of Guide Post Ringway, Mowbray and Stakeford First Schools have been published and can be found by clicking the link below.
Public Transport Alert : Shuttle Bus - Dilston Bridge closure
Effective: 10 Mar 2014 to 27 Jun 2014
There is a free shuttle bus operated by Howard Snaith replacing the bus services to Dilston Bridge while the road bridge is closed. It runs hourly on a circular route East side, Corbridge, Hexham, West side and return Monday to Friday and Saturdays between 0740 and 1820.
