A section of the A68 will be closed from immediately south of Ridsdale to a point one mile further south of Ridsdale in North Northumberland for five days later this month.
The road will be closed to traffic in both directions from 17 – 21 September from 7.30am to 5pm each day, while resurfacing work is carried out.
The alternative route for northbound vehicular traffic will be north via the B6342 at the A68 / B6342 junction at Colwell Five Lane Ends to Kirkharle crossroads on the A696 / B6342 junction and then travel North on the A696 to Elishaw (the junction of the A68/A696) and south on the A68 to Ridsdale.
There will be access into Ridsdale from the north. The diversion for southbound traffic will be vice-versa as for the northbound traffic.
