On Monday June 25, at mid- day the Armed Forces Day flag was  raised at County Hall in Morpeth to mark the build up to Armed Forces Day.

Members of the public  joined servicemen and women, war veterans and civic leaders during the short service to support the country’s  troops, past and present.

Armed Forces Day is a day when the whole nation is invited to show their support for our military community both in service and retired, at home and abroad.  This year it will take place on June 30 and as part of the build up to the day, flags will be raised across the country in the week prior to the event.
