Performance and Improvement
The
Councils Corporate Improvement Programme is being undertaken in a
number of stages, and is supported by the Corporate Performance and
Improvement Team:
Performance &
Efficiency Improvement (option appraisal) reviews are
being undertaken and recommendations will be considered by the
Leadership Group to feed into the Improvement Programme. Proposed
efficiencies/benefits will feed into Medium Term Strategy
(MTS).
Efficiency
review recommendations will inform an Implementation plan for the
Improvement Programme. Service areas will be commissioned
to deliver specific elements of the programme of work, within an
agreed programme/project management framework. The framework will
be based on best practice established through the Local Government
Reorganisation (LGR) process.
On
completion of the programmes, initial business cases will be
reviewed to ensure realisation of immediate benefits, and action
plans established to deliver medium term benefits. Realised
benefits and projected medium term benefits will feed into future
Medium Term Financial Plans.
