Animal Movement
We aim to minimise the risks and effects of transmissible
diseases and infestations among livestock, and to limit avoidable
pain and suffering by animals. Our Inspectors visit and inspect
farms, markets and shows to advise businesses on their
responsibilities and to ensure that current legislation is being
met. We receive information from many sources and carry out
investigations into fraudulent trading practices and serious
breaches of legislation.
