Interventions in use in Northumberland
Prior to the development of the Provision Management an audit was conducted across Northumberland to create a Provision Map of all interventions currently being used. The map develops, in discussion with schools and support services, to reflect current practice.

Social and Emotional Development (including social communication skills)
Speech and Language
Physical Development (including fine motor skills)
Please note, the inclusion of an Intervention in these lists does not imply it is one that has a strong research base – only that it is being used by schools in Northumberland.
If a school chooses to put one of these interventions in place they can consult research evidence available (an asterisk beside a listed intervention indicates research evidence for that intervention is available from these pages).
Schools should also devise their own method for evaluating the intervention’s impact (see Planning, Delivering and Evaluating an Intervention.)
