Key areas of responsibility for the Policy and Partnerships Service

Policy and Partnerships Service

The service is responsible for supporting the County Council and the Northumberland Strategic Partnership in the delivery of the Council’s Vision and Values and the achievement of wider partnership based outcomes.

 

Specific areas of responsibility are:

 

Corporate Performance and Improvement  is responsible for ensuring that effective and transparent processes are in place to demonstrate that the County Council and its partners are making best use of available resources to target areas of greatest need and are preparing and implementing effective programmes of work.

 

As part of our Performance Management Framework, on a quarterly basis, we present information in a series of briefing book reports tailored to each Service Plan. You can view these reports here

 

Corporate Policy is responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate partnership settings within the umbrella of the Northumberland Strategic Partnership (NSP) which delivers improved outcomes for the communities of Northumberland

 

Corporate Research Unit (InfoNet) is responsible for providing a coherent information base on Northumberland which is easily accessible and used by the Council, external partners and stakeholders

 

Locality Development is responsible for ensuring that there is a vibrant community and voluntary sector in Northumberland which is engaged and is contributing to making Northumberland a better place whilst supporting Members in all aspects of their community leadership and engagement roles to ensure that the County Council is close to its communities
