Reorganisation Proposals
Seaton Valley Partnership (pyramid) is organised on the basis of a three tier educational system (first, middle and high school).
Astley Community High School, Seaton Sluice Middle School and Whytrig Middle School have formed a hard federation, which means that the schools share a Governing Body but continue to have three headteachers at the respective schools.

Proposals on the reorganisation of partnerships under the Putting the Learner First Programme (PLF)can only be put forward where the capital funding for such a reorganisation has been identified. Presently, it is envisaged that funding would be in place to carry out a reorganisation of the Astley Partnership in around 2012. This means that any such proposals would be consulted upon around 2010. However, these indicative dates are subject to change should funding come on stream earlier or later than these dates.
In the meanwhile, the County Council will be working with all schools in Northumberland to identify and implement other methods of improving performance of pupils in our schools.
