The Governing Bodies of Alnwick South First School, Lindisfarne Middle School, The Duke's Middle School and The Duchess's Community High School have agreed to create a hard federation between the four schools following consultation on the proposals. The federation is effective from January 2009.
Under the hard federation, the incumbent governing bodies of the four schools will be disbanded and a new governing body covering all four schools set up in their place. This will bring continuity of education across the school phases as well as other benefits. There will continue to be a headteacher at each of the four schools.
We will publish consultation dates on this website as soon as they are confirmed.
