Parish Registers

also known as: family history, local history.

Parish registers can be an invaluable resource when researching your local or family history. Find out which parish registers are available free for members' use at Morpeth Library.

Parish registers are records or births, marriages, deaths and sometimes banns by church parish.

The main collection of Parish registers are kept by the Northumberland Collections Service.

They can be accessed through their facilities at Woodhorn Museum, Archive & County Park.

Morpeth Library has a smaller collection of  parish register transcripts (copies) for the following areas:
