Schools Library Service
The Schools Library Service (SLS) operates
from a main site at Hepscott Park with a smaller base in Hexham
Library.
We have an enthusiastic, experienced and
committed team of four Education Librarians, six Library Assistants
and a driver / assistant.
Our service is available via an annual Service
Agreement to all Northumberland schools and to other bodies in the
County concerned with education. We are also able to offer Service
Agreements to independent schools and schools outside
Northumberland County Council
Hepscott Park
Our main site is open from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. We are open during the
school holidays for visits and phone calls (normal hours
apply).

Hexham Site
SLS Hexham is based in Hexham Library, which
is situated in the Queens Hall and has the same opening times as
the Public Library. SLS staff are not always available at the
Hexham site so if you are likely to need assistance please contact
us in advance. When not staffed items can still be borrowed via the
Public Library issue desk.
