Adult Membership

If you are over 16 years old all you need to do is fill in a Library Membership form and show identification giving proof of your name and address, such as a bill or your driver's licence.

Children and Young People Membership

Under 16s need to get a Library Membership form countersigned by a parent or guardian.

We recommend that children join the library instead of borrowing books on their parents' cards to avoid being charged at an adult rate for fees such as late returns.

Playgroup Leaders and Childminders

Northumberland Libraries provide childminder or playgroup leader cards. These cards mean that you can borrow books on behalf of the children in your care. Childminders need to show proof of registration.
