The Border Library

The Border Library is based in Hexham Old Gaol. It is run by volunteers. The collections relate to the culture, history and music of The Borders.

There are currently opportunities for volunteers, either for short term projects or to join the band of regular volunteers. Please contact the Honorary Librarian, details below.

Visitors particularly wishing to view the collection are advised to contact the Honorary Librarian before visiting as the opening times vary depending on the availability of volunteers.

The Honorary Librarian can be contacted by leaving a message on the answerphone, (01434) 600910, or emailing borderlibrary@btconnect.com

Researchers should contact the Honorary Librarian to arrange convenient dates to visit and access the collections.
