By road: Hexham is off the A69 Newcastle-Carlisle road. There is car and coach parking in the Wentworth car park

By rail: Hexham railway station is 10 minutes walk from the Old Gaol. The route is signposted.

By bus: Hexham bus station is 5 minutes walk from the Old Gaol. The route is signposted

 

Facilities, accessibility & sustainability:

Hexham Old Gaol

Toilets – there are no toilets at the Old Gaol, there are public toilets nearby in the car park and in the town.

Shop – the Old Gaol has a shop selling local and themed souvenirs.

Access – the Old Gaol is fully accessible, with a ramp and stairs to the front door and a glass lift to move visitors around the building.
