Consultation

also known as: Surveys.

The council carries out consultations with members of the public and peoples panel

Why do we consult?

Consultation and communication are key to the most effective and efficient delivery of the Council’s vision, to deliver the best customer focussed services and support to all communities.

Consultation is carried out by us (or on our behalf) in order

  • to find out what you think
  • to identify your priorities and concerns
  • to meet our statutory obligations

How do we consult?

We consult with communities and individuals using methods such as surveys by post, phone and internet, focus groups and workshops. Anorther method of collecting information from residents is by using the Northumberland Peoples' Panel, which is consulted up to four times a year.

What happens to the results?

They help the Council to understand what residents, service-users and businesses think of the services we provide, and help us understand our customers needs when planning changes, in order to provide services that are targeted in the most effective way.
