Calls from BT landlines to 0845 numbers are charged at local
rates.
Call charges may vary with other providers.
Please note that our Customer Service Centre
is normally very busy on Monday mornings.
If your call is not urgent you may wish to call at another time to
avoid waiting in a call queue.
If your call is held in a queue for too long, you can leave your
name and number and we will call you back within one working
day.
We will make every effort to answer your call within 20
seconds, and we have set ourselves a challenge to do this for at
least 80% of all calls. We also aim to ensure that we handle 95% of
all calls.

If you wish to phone the council our normal working hours

Monday - Friday 08:30 - 19:00 (excluding public holidays).
We provide a reduced service for emergency calls only outside
these hours on the same number

We will try our very best to pass your email
to the appropriate department within one working day of receipt;
they will then action your request within the timescales that
can be found on their service web-pages elsewhere on the
Northumberland County Council website.
Northumberland Information Centres:
The Information Centres are open 09:00 – 17:00
Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
At any of our centres
you can get advice, information and arrange delivery of any council
service.
You can make a payment for council services.
If your request can not be dealt with immediately we will ensure
that the appropriate person or department will contact you.
You can submit applications along with
supporting documentation or evidence at any service centre.
Customer Service staff will provide assistance and advice in
completing application
forms.
