Blyth Library is situated in the former Mechanics' Institute. It houses the major collection of local studies material for Blyth, books for adults, teenagers and children, DVDs and CDs, audiobooks, newspapers and magazines. It also has 13 public access computers.

Events at Blyth Library

Regular Events

  • A knitting group meets every Tuesday at 10am till 12pm.
  • Story and rhymetime takes place on a Friday during term time at 9.30am till 10am.
  • A junior reading group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10.30am till 11.30am.
  • Surestart storytime takes place every Thursday during term time at 10am till 11am.
