In-house services (mostly for people with learning disability)

The users of these services made the following points:

People enjoyed going to day services and felt safe there. They were happy with the staff and had friends there, but their views about the meals and information provided by the service were mixed.

Those who used the horticultural services also enjoyed visiting and felt safe there. They were happy with the staff and had friends there and they reported that they got the chance to learn about learning new things, such as using tools and equipment safely. However, some people felt that they weren’t consulted about how the service was run, and others also wanted to see better information.

People from residential care services liked living there and were happy with their buildings. They felt safe, were happy with the staff and felt able to keep in touch with family and friends. Some people said that they wanted more things to do and to go out more and some people didn’t feel that they were able to make their own drinks and snacks.
